The new version 4.1 of our software deployment solution Install.Desk has been released today.
The new features for you at a glance:
- The OS Packager now also supports response files for Windows 10 operating systems
Improvements in Vulnerability Management
- Vulnerability management provides new reports on newly discovered vulnerabilities and on remediated vulnerabilities to support a security audit.
If a vulnerability is manually excluded, the user can now request a justification.
New web-based software kiosk
- The highlight of the new version is the web-based software kiosk as a self-service portal for users.
With the software kiosk as a “pull system”, employees can decide for themselves if and when they want to install which applications.
In Install.Desk, the administrator merely determines which applications are released in the form of jobs or packages for which user group. The administrator is relieved of various installation tasks.
The software kiosk runs in every browser and has a modern web design. The software kiosk is an additional module that must be licensed separately. (Available from January 2019 – please contact our sales department)
New reports for jobs and packages
- Two new standard reports for listing, analyzing, filtering and searching installation jobs and packages have been added. You can branch from the reports to the job tree or package tree for the selected row.
FCS customers with an Install.Desk support contract can now download the new version free of charge from our download area.
