The tool fits seamlessly into existing system landscapes and processes and supplements them with professional IT asset and license management.
Is Asset.Desk the leading system in the system environment, it generates and manages the unique asset ID (inventory number) itself. Otherwise, it receives the asset ID from the leading system via an interface. All in-house systems, such as HEINZELMANN, Install.Desk, Reserva or the mobile apps, are connected via these interfaces Asset.Desk integrated.
Active Directory Loader
Easily transfer the master data on users, departments, rooms and locations from your Windows Active Directory Asset.Desk.
The data from the Windows directory service can be regularly synchronized after the initial transfer. This means that the organizational data only has to be maintained once. The Active Directory remains the leading system.
The Open Data Protocol (OData) enables data exchange between
Asset.Desk and other systems. It acts as a modern web protocol, enabling data access and data manipulation. At the app Asset.Desk Mobile+ means, for example, that direct communication with Asset.Desk possible without data redundancy.
Third-party systems can be connected to the gateway at any time. Data is exchanged via http(s) requests and responses in JSON format.
Asset.Desk offers a bidirectional interface to komXwork as an optional add-on module.
komXwork is an efficient document management software for modern administrations. It ensures additional transparency and structure in the operational processes and is used for the electronic merging, archiving and administration of documents. With the connection, you can use all your electronic documents that you have in Asset.Desk generate and assign, save and manage centrally in komXwork. Documents are, for example, your requests for quotations, orders and delivery notes saved in PDF format, but also e-mails, letters, notes, images or any other files. This allows you to take advantage of the advantages that arise when you record and merge your documents in a structured filing system. The management of documents in komXwork offers real added value and additional benefits to the operative inventory and management processes in Asset.Desk.
Numerous companies already use Microsoft SCCM for their software distribution and scanning processes. However, this product is not intended for IT asset management and cannot map all license models on the market.
With the help of this interface, IT asset management and software asset management can be integrated in Asset.Desk based on SCCM scan data. The SCCM interface enables the use of inventory information collected with Microsoft's proprietary solution for all those who cannot rely on the excellent FCS scanning processes and who have to introduce an ITAM into an existing enterprise environment with SCCM.
Transfer scan data over the Internet!
With the Web Daemon, the scan data from the local Windows Agents can be transmitted from those clients that are not connected to the company network to a central server via the Internet. So you can always be sure that you have recorded all your company computers - no matter where they are!
Assets from spatially separate locations that are not in the same network should be managed centrally in a common inventory database. Asset.Desk may communicate over the Internet or provide local procedures.

Use the inventory data from Asset.Deskto distribute software with Install.Desk in a targeted manner. You can recognize on the basis of the inventory data in Asset.Desk at a glance on which computers the desired software application still needs to be installed, and automatically adopt these computers as the Install.Desk distribution group.
After distribution via Install.Desk will inform you Asset.Desk about the updated software status. This means that the new software version of these devices is available in the inventory or asset database without delay.
