The Additional module LDAP enables networking HEINZELMANN Service.Desk with directory services.
How it works:
- Your users log on to the helpdesk with their known login data (eg from the Active Directory).
- If your users always work at the same workstation, a “remember me” function can be used to log in for later visits to the HEINZELMANN Service.Desk get saved
- The single sign-on function also makes it possible to skip the login step entirely if a user has authenticated himself once at the same workstation.
- With each login, the user data is automatically taken from the LDAP (e.g. Active Directory) and stored in the HEINZELMANN Service.Desk created or updated
Compatible with various directory services:
HEINZELMANN LDAP is "multi-LDAP-capable", which means that it not only supports the Microsoft directory service, but also other LDAP-based directory services (eg Novell E-Directory). In addition, several LDAP directory services can be connected. In this way, you can also use distributed structures easily with the HEINZELMANN Service.Desk cover.
More benefits through device and employee data from the Active Directory:
With HEINZELMANN LDAP you can pull all employee data from the LDAP and update it at the push of a button. With Active Directory, even the devices from the directory service can be queried and tickets assigned.
