Asset.Desk allows you to automaticallyScan“ of the exact hardware and software of all IT resources from a central location. Just one click and you get the complete hardware and installed software directly from the target system.
The Cloud Scanner can also be used to inventory resources that you operate in the MS Azure Cloud, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and Hetzner Cloud, e.g. VMs, App Services, DBs. In addition, purchased license plans, software products and authorized users in Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud and Google Workspace can also be called up with the Cloud Scanner. This gives you a comprehensive overview of the current status of your software subscriptions and resources in the cloud in one system.

MS Azure Cloud, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and Hetzner Cloud
Whether on-premise, IaaS, SaaS or intermediate forms, Asset.Desk combines the local assets and your resources in the cloud in one system. The usage data and costs incurred are also retrieved and processed. Asset.Desk accesses the cloud resources with the respective REST API of the provider and fully meets the security requirements of OAuth2 authentication.
MS Azure Scanner
Your subscriptions are inventoried with the resources you use. You specify in the tracker which subscriptions and which resources should be scanned in detail. Asset.Desk saves the scanned Azure resources in the central database and displays them in a tree structure in the manager. In addition to calling up the overviews of all resources, the data of the virtual machines, the app services, the storage accounts and the databases of your Azure cloud environment can be scanned in particular.
Google CloudScanner
Here, too, you can inventory your subscriptions (projects) with the associated resources. The scanned Google resources are also stored in the central database of Asset.Desk saved and displayed in a tree structure in the manager. In particular, the scanner evaluates the data of the virtual machines, the app services, the storages (buckets) and the databases of your Google Cloud environment.
Amazon Web Services Scanner
The resources you operate in the AWS Cloud are inventoried here per organization. The scanned AWS resources are stored in the central database of Asset.Desk saved and displayed in a tree structure in the manager. In particular, the data of the organizations as well as the data of the created accounts, the virtual machines, the app services, the storage accounts and the databases of your AWS cloud environment are scanned.
Hetzner CloudScanner
The resources you operate in the AWS Cloud are inventoried here per organization. The scanned AWS resources are stored in the central database of Asset.Desk saved and displayed in a tree structure in the manager. In particular, the data of the organizations as well as the data of the created accounts, the virtual machines, the app services, the storage accounts and the databases of your AWS cloud environment are scanned.
Cloud Cost Analysis
Asset.Desk retrieves all billing data (costs) from the Azure Cloud and stores them in the database. The cost rates are available as raw data in list form in the manager.
Asset.Desk additionally offers a cost analysis with graphical diagrams:
- The distribution of costs according to various criteria as well
- the course of the costs daily or cumulatively
The period of the evaluations can be freely selected, so that comparative analyzes of the costs are also possible.
Cloud - Contracts
The cloud subscriptions can be in Asset.Desk assign one or more contracts. This allows you to see the agreements concluded with the cloud providers for the respective subscriptions in the form of Asset.Desk map contracts.
Cloud - Commercial Data
Company codes, cost centers, a partner and a default service type can be assigned to each subscription. This means that the costs of cloud use can later be charged to the units in the company that are caused.
License management for software subscriptions in the cloud
- The Cloud Scanner allows you to scan your purchased license plans, software products, SKUs, and licensed user accounts from the Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud and Google workspace recall.
- You always see the current status of your software subscriptions with the total number of licenses, free and assigned licenses directly in Asset.Desk.
- License management can use the licensed user accounts to automatically assign catalogs and licenses for the software subscriptions to the employees in Asset.Desk assign.
- Newly licensed users are automatically supplied with a catalog and license, for deleted user accounts in the cloud the catalog and license are sent to the employees in Asset.Desk withdrawn.
- The licenses of your software subscriptions in the cloud always go exactly into the license balance of Asset.Desk .
Office 365 Cloud Licensing
The Cloud Scanner always retrieves the current license plans you have subscribed to, available services and the assigned authorized user accounts from the Office 365 cloud. You always look up-to-date in Asset.Desk, how many free cloud licenses still exist in your software subscription.
In addition to the Office 365 basic plan, the chargeable add-on license plans can also be called up. The add-ons include, for example, the Skype for Business Plus CALs or Microsoft Visio Online / Project Online.
Adobe Creative Cloud Licensing
Here, too, the Cloud Scanner retrieves the software products you have purchased, including applications and services, and the authorized user accounts assigned to them from the Adobe Creative Cloud. You will also receive in Asset.Desk an overview of the total and the free cloud licenses of your software subscription.
Google workspace
The Google Workspace Scanner always retrieves the SKUs (software subscriptions) you have subscribed to, the apps and services available for them and the authorized user accounts assigned to them from the Google Workspace Cloud. You always look up-to-date in Asset.Desk, which employees are licensed, for example, for the SKUS "Google Workspace Business".
