GDPR compliance for the IT infrastructure
On 25 May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation came into force.
This must be applied to all those who work with the personal data of EU citizens. The new guidelines also have a major impact on the IT department. There are stricter rules for dealing with data and harsher penalties for violations. An important aspect of successful defense against any danger in the range of IT security is the development of internal processes, their evaluation, and logging. Technical and organizational measures have to be created and GDPR principles implemented in the IT infrastructure. However, the creation of company-wide GDPR compliance is a comprehensive process that includes various components such as technology, guidelines, and organizational factors.
