Scan Agent now also for "Windows on ARM 64"

ARM processors are unlike Intel or AMD based CPUs significantly more efficient, save electricity and run less hot. So far, they have mainly been used in smartphones and tablets. Raspberry Pis and nuse new MacBooks from Apple ebenfalls ARM architecture processors. Another advantage: At the touch of a button, a device with an ARM CPU can be woken up from sleep and put back to sleep in a flash

Microsoft now also offers Windows 10 and Windows 11 as "Windows on ARM" for devices with ARM processors. The company developed the Surface Pro X with its own ARM processor together with chip manufacturer Qualcomm. In addition to the Surface Pro X, there are more and more devices with "Windows on ARM" from other manufacturers, such as HP, Acer and Samsung.

We have reacted to this development and are now also making the Windows Scan Agent available for Windows 10 and 11 with ARM 64 architecture. This means that the hardware and software of all "Windows on ARM" devices in your company can now be automatically scanned and inventoried. The Com Server is also "ARM 64 ready", so that the scan data from Windows ARM 64 devices can even be transmitted over the Internet using a web daemon.

Windows Scan Agent and Com Server for ARM 64 are available on request, contact our Sales.

By the way: We installed Windows 10 Pro on a Raspberry Pi 3 and then scanned it. The Raspberry is about the size of a credit card and is now often used in the field of IoT (Internet of Things) in industry. That also worked without any problems!
