We present: HEINZELMANN Service Desk 7.08.001 – Facelift for the workflow module!
After the successful framework conversion with the new HEINZELMANN main version HEINZELMANN 7 we will look at the planned adjustments to the individual modules.
As already demonstrated in our last FCS webinar, we first dared to tackle the popular workflow module.
At the same time, we continue to work on the performance and durability of the program.
Here are some of the important points and features that we provide you with the new version of HEINZELMANN 7:
- Customizability of the appearance in the workflow module: The design of the activities within the workflow instances can now be set centrally. Decide for yourself how an activity should be displayed in general and the integrated form in particular.
- Innovations in the online shop (in combination with the workflow module and Asset.Desk-Shopping): The specification options based on the order and the item to be ordered have been expanded. In addition, you now have the option of visualizing the selection of items with images.
- Usability adjustments: Thanks to the improved integration of the knowledge base with ticket processing, standardized answers and feedback to employees and customers can now be provided in greater detail. The search options within the ticket list have also been expanded.
- Security features: Even after updating the framework basis, our colleagues in our security department are still keeping us on our toes. The tests have not lost any momentum, nor have the security adjustments.
In addition to the previous features, we have implemented further features and bugs since the last news:

(+) Workflow: Users with the new right “Manage workflow activity view” can customize the arrangement of panels in the activity view for all users.
(-) Workflow: WF definitions could not be saved without a description.
(-) Ticket / Knowledge Base: After importing KB article texts, the ticket processing could not be saved.
(-) Contact: The NEW button was displayed in the contact list, even if users do not have the right to create contacts.
(-) Projects: The performance of the data tree upload has been improved.
(-) Ticket: Text blocks for ticket templates were not displayed in the text block management.

(+) Workflow: The order catalog must be licensed as a HEINZELMANN module.

(-) Contacts: The employee link to Asset.Desk could not be selected in the contact view.

(-) Ticket: In tickets created from emails, the ticket description was not displayed correctly.

(-) Ticket: When closing a ticket with the setting “Notify recipient only once”, the contact was no longer notified at all.

(+) Ticket list: Search filter with multiple selection extended by action buttons “All / None”.
(+) Knowledge Base: Setting for standard groups “Visible to” added to KB article attachment.
(-) Ticket: Category selection without popup was not displayed with the new right.
(-) General: Sometimes the notifications are not displayed.
