With the brand new version of the HEINZELMANN, the "BACKLOG module" becomes a fully-fledged "SCRUM module". In addition to a story extension and new sprint views, the version also offers LDAP innovations and ticket improvements.

SCRUM module now with story  

The more disciplined and intensive the agile practices are applied, the higher the probability that errors can be avoided, detected or reversed at an early stage. Three essential agile practices are the product backlog, the sprint, and the Story. So far, the story could not be carried out with the HEINZELMANN. This is different from now on: The story is now included in the SCRUM module and can be used to its full extent.

The new SCRUM function helps to optimally control your agile project. With the new ticket type "Story" complex tasks can be described. Individual tickets can be easily assigned to a story. The tickets are then displayed grouped to the story in the sprint. Regardless of whether you are in an executive or monitoring position: you always have an overview of the course of the sprint. The burn-down chart indicates when the work will be completed and shows the remaining effort in relation to the remaining time at any point in time.

Story highlights:

  • Simple to use and easy to understand in application
  • Using collective processing, it is possible to assign a ticket/several tickets directly to a story (similar to backlog)
  • If a ticket is already assigned to another story, you will be informed by an error message
  • A user only sees a story if they are allowed to see at least one ticket associated with that story
  • Tickets and ticket stories can be sorted using drag & drop


SCRUM module: What's new in the sprint view  

The SCRUM module (formerly BACKLOG module) has received further innovations. For example, the sprint view has been improved to make working in the backlog easier.

  • Multiple sprints can now be defined in advance and tickets assigned. For a better overview, planned sprints, for example, can be collapsed in order to be able to work clearly
  • If a sprint is active, it is more clearly visible with a green box
  • The planned date can now also be displayed in the list of sprints


LDAP innovations  

The new version of HEINZELMANN enables SSO authentication of users via the Microsoft Azure account. This is now possible by importing users and contacts from the Azure Active Directory (note: this only works if you have imported the users/contacts beforehand).


Further improvements in ticket, ticket list and ticket type  

  • General:
    • The global search function has now been expanded to include a full-text search within the entire ticket body
  •  Ticket:
    • Sending files from ticket processing is now also logged in the ticket history
  •  ticket list
    • Favorite filters can now be displayed directly in the search bar of the ticket list
    • The ticket list can now also be filtered by the contact's company name via URL parameters
  •  ticket type
    • User-defined selection lists can be displayed as radio buttons
    • The option "Required field when completing a ticket" is now also possible for user-defined fields
