CMDB for midsized companies

Technical device data can be built up quickly with the help of an automated inventory scanner. In addition, passive devices (devices which cannot be scanned through network access) can easily be added manually. The illustration of the organisational structure of your company, of the lifecycle of all IT assets as well as the management of contracts, software licenses and suppliers – in combination with financial data – allow a comprehensive management of your IT assets. The combination of technical device data, information about locations as well as user information and commercial data combined in one management software makes Asset.Desk be a CMDB (Configuration Management Database) which is of high benefit for midsized companies.

Asset.Desk
provides classical lifecycle management functions and also a commercial view of your asset's life cycles. Ordering, acquisition and stock control (with Asset.Desk Mobile), license management, histories to organisational and technical changes as well as "end of lifecycle" are in Asset.Desk's focus.

Bar code labels can be printed from the Asset.Desk manager for all included assets (IT-resources and furniture). With the add-on module Asset.Desk, you are in a position to operate mobile stocktaking whereby a bar code scanner gathers the label information which will then be uploaded and matched with the asset data available in Asset.Desk. Software distribution and help-desk are completely integrable and create an ITIL-based symbiosis between configuration- and service management.

Active Directory Integration

The optional ActiveDirectory Loader provides Asset.Desk with data of users, departments, rooms and locations straight out of the Active Directory, fast and easy. The information can be synchronized constantly afterwards in order for you to keep your organisational data in Asset.Desk up to date. Doing so, you avoid double keying and have to edit those data only once.

Reporting as strategic and operational planning criteria

Besides, Asset.Desk generates numerous reports, which provide answers to all your questions as for technical, organisational and commercial data. All reports can be individually sorted, grouped and analysed. They offer answers for managing directors, controllers, heads of IT or administrators at any time.
